It would eliminate the need for you to hit unlock. you must hold both button inside the car and on the phobe for it to go through. It won’t activate the power lift gate unless you hold is for a second. I have only had my CX50 for the past few days. Open the tailgate manually and leave it open, take both the cables OFF the battery and hold them together (when the cables are OFF the battery) re install the cables on battery and wait a minute.
